What is Hyrox?

HYROX is a fitness race for everybody

The race starts with a 1 km run, followed by 1 functional movement, and then you repeat this for 8 times. So you run 8km and perform 8 different functional movements.

The functional movements are:

1) 1000m Skierg

2) 50m Sled push

3) 50m Sled pull

4) 80m Burpee broad jumps

5) 1000m Rowing

6) 200m Farmers carry

7) 100m Sandbag lunges

8) 75-100 Wall balls

The open division is for everybody. No matter what your background is, or what your current fitness level is. This level is challenging but achievable for everyone - the weights are lighter in all the functional movements, and you get to take all the time you need.

The pro division is for the experienced racers, as it includes heavier weights making the race a more challenging experience. This is the division where the world’s best athletes race.

I’ve been racing in the open division. This season (2022-23) I was supposed to race in the pro, but then the pregnancy happened. So I chose to take it easy and take this season as a learning chapter.

But now I can’t wait for the next season to come around. I have so much to give and show to myself. Will you be there?
